Who should attend: Nurses and providers who want to gain knowledge and skills to better care for our most neuro-sensitive patients

Topics to be covered:

  • Neurologic assessment of the newborn, including the Hammersmith (HINE & HNNE), General Movements Assessment, and Test of Motor Performance
  • Pathophysiology of hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy
  • Bedside seizure detection, including aEEG and cEEG
  • Hands-on skills, including MRI feed and bundle equipment, aEEG electrode placement, use of the Brainz monitor and aEEG strip interpretation, and cooling equipment
  • Plus case studies to tie it all together!
