Jennifer A. Havens, RN, MHA, Chief Executive Officer
Jennifer A. Havens is the chief executive officer of UnityPoint Health – Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Havens earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Crichton College, Memphis, Tenn., and a master's degree in health administration from Des Moines University. She is a registered nurse and has worked in health care for more than 28 years.
She was previously vice president of operations for Central Iowa Healthcare when it was purchased by UnityPoint Health on May 1, 2017 and became UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown. She simultaneously retained her role as the chief executive officer at Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center.
Havens currently serves as a member of; the American College of Healthcare Executives; the Iowa Hospital Association, District B; the Iowa Organization of Nurse Leaders, District B; board member of the Crisis Intervention Services; chapter president of Dollars for Scholars; the Main Street Iowa Revitalization Task Force, Grundy Center; board member of Hawkeye Community College Foundation; the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Foundation Board; Grundy Center Wellness Committee; and board member of the Iowa Healthcare Collaborative.
Doris J. Rindels, RN, Vice President
Doris Rindels is the vice president of UnityPoint Health – Grinnell Regional Medical Center. Rindels earned a bachelor's degree in management of healthcare services from Ottawa University in Overland Park, Kansas, and a nursing diploma from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. She volunteers with the Montezuma Fire and Ambulance, represents the hospital on the Poweshiek County EMS association, and serves as a member of the Iowa Organization for Nurse Leaders. Rindels also serves on the advisory boards for nursing programs at Iowa Valley Community College and Indian Hills Community College.
Rindels has been providing healthcare services to Poweshiek County since 1977, first as a nurse in the Wiltfang-Paulson clinic. She joined GRMC full time in 1990 as a nurse in the emergency department. Since then she has filled other roles, including nursing supervisor and director of nursing. In 2005, she became an assistant vice president and was promoted to vice president in 2013. She most recently filled the role of interim chief executive officer from January 2018 through July 2018.
Kyle M. Wilcox, FACHE, FHFMA, Vice President of Finance & Business Development
Kyle M. Wilcox is the vice president of finance and business development. He earned his bachelor's degree and master of health administration from the University of Iowa. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives and a fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association.
His first role at GRMC was as an intern while working on his graduate degree in 2011. He has since served as the administrative fellow, director of revenue cycle, assistant vice-president of finance and as in 2015 the vice-president of finance and business development.
Wilcox currently serves as an officer of the Iowa Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association Board, an officer of the Grinnell Community Daycare Board, board member of the Grinnell Chamber of Commerce and is an active Big Brother for Big Brothers/Big Sisters of America in Grinnell. He is a member of the Iowa Hospital Association, American College of Healthcare Executives and Healthcare Financial Management Association.
