Celebrating 100 Years of Care from 4th Avenue & Reed Street

UnityPoint Health - Grinnell Regional Medical Center: Proud to be your community hospital.

We are proud to spend 2019 celebrating 100 years of health care from our medical center location at 4th Avenue and Reed Street in Grinnell. In August of 1919, the Community Hospital opened their doors in our current location to better serve the Grinnell area. The 35-bed hospital included medical and surgical wards as well as maternity and pediatric rooms.

Today, 100 years later, our goal remains the same.

"Our core purpose is to improve the health of the people and communities we serve. GRMC strives to provide the best outcome for every patient, every time. We look forward to the next 100 years of health care and serving our communities. We are truly proud to be your community hospital."
