Remodel and Expansion Project
Beginning Wednesday, January 17, 2018, the UnityPoint Health - Meriter Outpatient Pharmacy will begin a remodeling and expansion project and is expected to be completed in early March. During this expansion and remodel, the drop-off and pick-up registration counter will be temporarily relocated to Patient Registration, adjacent to the Outpatient Pharmacy. The Outpatient Pharmacy will remain open during this time.
The Meriter Outpatient Pharmacy is conveniently located in the hospital's main lobby. Patients can fill new prescriptions in the Meriter Outpatient Pharmacy so there is no need to stop at their home pharmacy on the way home. If needed, the prescription can then be transferred to the patient's home pharmacy for future refills.
The pharmacy accepts most local and national prescription insurances. If you have an upcoming appointment and are interested in filling your prescriptions with us, you can call ahead to confirm that we accept your insurance.

Safe Medication Disposal
Poisoning deaths now surpass traffic crashes as the number one cause of injury-related death in Dane County and across the nation. Sort through medicines regularly and dispose of unused or expired medications to prevent accidental ingestion and abuse. Don't flush medicines down the toilet or put them in the trash. This can be bad for the environment.

If you have liquids, gels or creams, leave those in their original containers and place them in a zip lock bag as well. Protect yourself by taking off any labels or covering any personal information with a marker.

- Over-the-Counter medicine (pills, liquids and creams)
