Community Health Needs Assessment
Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)
The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) requires non-profit hospitals, such as UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown, to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) for our community.
The CHNA process identifies key issues affecting health in our community, as well as health problems people in our community experience. This provides UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown with a foundation to develop a proactive plan to address those needs.
UnityPoint Health – Marshalltown has partnered with other agencies to support these new requirements and has identified the major health and socioeconomic issues that affect the three counties that our Marshalltown hospital serves.
