Our walk-in clinics are experiencing very high-demand which can create extended wait times. Before seeking walk-in care, please check with your primary care provider for same-day appointments or get care at home using UnityPoint Health online care.

If you have a non-urgent health concern and would like to talk to a primary care provider, please call your clinic during normal business hours or use your MyUnityPoint patient portal to see when a video, telephone or in-person visit can be scheduled.

Urgent & Emergency Care
When to seek urgent care: When you have an illness or injury that is not life-threatening but still requires fast attention, find an urgent or express care near you. This can include infections like influenza, sore throat, sprains or minor cuts and burns.
When to seek emergency care: For serious or life-threatening health issues, call 911 or go to the emergency room immediately. This can include chest pain or heart attack symptoms, sudden or sever head pain, loss of consciousness, poisoning, uncontrolled fever or other potentially life-threatening conditions.

Virtual Urgent Care - Virtual Urgent Care is available for individuals 18+ who are located in Iowa. Through a video visit, Virtual Urgent Care providers can diagnose, recommend treatment and prescribe medication for minor illnesses.
SmartExam - SmartExam is an online screening tool for individuals 18+ who are located in Iowa that allows them to be treated for common ailments and illnesses in less than an hour without seeing a provider. This intelligent tool asks you questions based on your provided symptoms and answers to previous questions.

COVID-19 Care or Testing
If you have respiratory symptoms including fever, cough and/or difficulty breathing, and you have had contact with a person with COVID-19, please call your Primary Care Provider. You'll go through an assessment over the phone, which will help protect others from possible exposure to the virus.
As always, if you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, we want to see you as soon as possible—particularly if you are high risk or unvaccinated. Help us make sure we're able to help you, get your COVID-19 vaccination or booster.

A great place to start seeking mental health care is with your primary care doctor. They can refer you to one of our mental health professionals who specialize in the type of care you need. Berryhill Center - Behavioral Health Urgent Care
If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, Berryhill Center is open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Patients must be 18 years or older or have a guardian with them. Patients are advised to utilize the ER instead if they are also needing medical attention (i.e. open or fresh wounds), are a minor who does not have a guardian to sign a consent to treat, demonstrating aggressive behavior or having a crisis outside of urgent care hours.
