The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) requires non-profit hospitals such as UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Hospital, to conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) for our community. The purpose of the health needs assessment is to identify the top health needs and develop a plan to proactively address them.
St. Luke's Hospital has partnered with Linn County Public Health Needs and Issues to support these new requirements and has identified the major health and socioeconomic issues that affect the eight county's that St. Luke's Hospital serves.
