Many people feel empowered by researching cancer. UnityPoint – Trinity supports your interest in learning more about a cancer diagnosis and ways to help you through treatment.
At Trinity Cancer Center, we want to help cancer patients be as informed as possible. We provide patients, families and the community with accurate and reliable information about cancer treatment, cancer prevention and social support.
Resources for Your Recovery
You have access to resources during your treatment, including:
- American Cancer Society Navigator: If you or someone you know has cancer, an American Cancer Society Navigator (ACS) can help. An ACS Navigator will be there every step of the way — providing information, connecting you to resources and supporting you throughout your cancer journey. Contact the ACS Navigator program at 1-800-ACS-2345 for additional information.
- Look Good...Feel Better: This American Cancer Society service program helps women undergoing cancer treatment cope with appearance-related side effects of treatment and regain a sense of self-confidence and control in their lives. For information regarding this program, call (515) 574-8302.
- Self-Image Enhancement Room: The Trinity Cancer Center Self-Image Enhancement Room has free wigs available for cancer patients. We are able to provide these wigs thanks to generous donations to the Trinity Foundation. We also offer turbans, hats and scarves for patients experiencing hair loss. To schedule an appointment, call (515) 574-8302.
