Hy-Vee donates $5,000 to John Stoddard Cancer Center's Rally Against Cancer
John Stoddard Cancer Center’s Rally Against Cancer recently received a $5,000 donation from Hy-Vee, Inc. to provide cancer care for patients and families in central Iowa.
The donation will be used to support the John Stoddard Cancer Center Oncology Nurse Navigator Program, as well as other programs that provide healing and overall well-being of patients and their families. John Stoddard Cancer Center provides a wide range of patient and family support services and one of the most technologically advanced radiation oncology departments in the Midwest. Since it started, more than 20,000 patients and more than 38,000 family members and caregivers have been impacted by the proceeds of the event.
“We’re so grateful to Hy-Vee for their support of the important work we do in central Iowa,” says Brenna Finnerty, Senior Director of Development for John Stoddard Cancer Center. “Rally Against Cancer provides important services to the patients and families at John Stoddard, we are so thankful for Hy-Vee’s help in our fight against cancer.”

Rally Against Cancer has grown from a small Super Bowl party for friends, to the signature fundraising event for John Stoddard Cancer Center, featuring a distinguished list of athletes and cancer survivors as keynote speakers over the years, raising over $3.8 million since inception to make a difference for patients and families at the cancer center.
