Scholarship Program

UnityPoint Health- Meriter offers local high school students who are going into the healthcare industry the opportunity to apply for financial assistance through the Healthcare Scholarship Program. We started this program in 1987, the same year that Madison General and Methodist Hospital merged to become Meriter. In just 33 years, 617 scholarships, totaling more than $688,000 have been awarded to local high school seniors pursing higher education in healthcare.

This program is made possible through the generous support from the amazing staff at Meriter's Greenbush Garden Bistro and Dr. Joe's Coffee Clinic. These individuals diligently promote the program year-round and encourage donations from visitors, staff, patients and community members. If you are interested in supporting this program you may also make a donation through the Meriter Foundation.
