Children's Center
The Children's Center is a wonderful place for children and families.
Our Mission & Values
Our mission is to nurture, inspire, support and educate through play.
The Children's Center upholds the UnityPoint Health - Meriter values of excellence as a way of life, people being our most important resource, and a commitment of service to others. Our teachers work as a team to provide an environment in which parents, children, volunteers and staff can grow and develop together.
Our Learning Environment
We offer a caring and safe learning environment that supports each child in growing and learning to their full potential - emotionally, physically, cognitively and socially.
We teach the skills that model the respect that fosters a sense of belonging in our community of classrooms. Our teacher-to-child ratios enhance relationships and support the development of strong social and language skills.
Infant/Toddler/Two Program
Our Infant/Toddler/Two Program honors the importance of stable, loving relationships and consistent, nurturing routines. We follow a Continuity of Care Model that keeps children and their teachers together for their first two/three years in the program. Our classroom environment encourages individual and social development while preparing children for further learning in preschool programs.
Preschool/3-K Program
Our Preschool/3-K Program is for children ages 3-5 years old and promotes valuable learning opportunities through a rich curriculum. It is designed to meet the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Model Early Learning Standards.
Child-Initiated activities focus on key educations experiences that encourage curiosity, exploration and learning moments. These daily activities support the social skills identified as the foundation of Kindergarten and a life of successful learning.
