Outpatient Therapy & Treatment Options

Eyerly Ball's professional therapists serve individuals with mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorders. Our therapists empower individuals to build the skills needed to begin the recovery process. They actively collaborate with other treatment providers to help maintain a network of care and ensure the patient's treatment is updated as needs change. Therapy services are recovery-focused and based on person-centered planning and client-directed outcomes.

Examples of Programs:

Payment Information

Eyerly Ball accepts payment from Medicaid, Medicare, most Commercial Insurance Plans and self-pay.  Eyerly Ball actively assists uninsured individuals in securing insurance or unable to afford the full service fee by applying for our sliding fee scale.

Eyerly Ball also provides OWI screenings to Medicaid-eligible individuals and to those willing to pay the screening fee ($125 for individuals not covered by Medicaid). Individuals seeking an OWI screening must bring a copy of his/her arrest report.

Psychiatric Services

Eyerly Ball offers psychiatric services to all clients in need of treatment, monitoring and stabilization through medication. Our prescribers actively collaborate with other treatment providers to help maintain continuity of care and to ensure that the patient's treatment regimen is updated as needs change.

Eyerly Ball's Medication Assistance Program helps individuals with no insurance, or those who are low-income, obtain medications by applying for assistance from the pharmaceutical companies. Ask your medical provider for more information.

Group Therapy

Group therapy helps individuals learn about themselves and gain encouragement, perspectives, and ideas from others facing similar issues. Eyerly Ball offers a variety of specialized groups to meet the needs of our clients.

STEPPS (Systems Training for Emotional Predictability and Problem Solving)

STEPPS is a group treatment program for those struggling with emotional intensity associated with Borderline Personality Disorder. This evidence-based educational program teaches individuals a variety of emotion and behavior management skills. Group participants are encouraged to attend individual therapy along with STEPPS. The group meets for two hours, once a week, for a total of 20 weeks.

After completing the STEPPS program, there are a few options:

  • Enter a follow-up program called STAIRWAYS™, which meets twice a month for one year and helps develop additional skills
  • Continue with individual therapy only
  • Repeat the group

STEPPS group therapy meets on Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. at our Polk County location.

Substance Abuse Treatment

As a licensed provider of outpatient substance-related services, Eyerly Ball is committed to treating the whole person. Our professional staff provides thorough assessments for alcohol and/or drug use. As a result, necessary planning and attention are incorporated into each individual's therapy and/or medical care plan.

When a client requires more intensive substance-related assistance beyond Eyerly Ball's services (such as intensive outpatient treatment, inpatient or residential treatment or detox), we refer to other providers in the community.

Substance abuse services offered include:

  • Substance Abuse Evaluations
  • OWI Screenings
  • Individual outpatient psychotherapy focused on alcohol or drug-related issues
  • Dual Diagnosis Group Therapy

Substance abuse evaluations and/or individual outpatient therapy is available to individuals with Medicaid, Medicare, certain Private Insurance Plans, or those willing to pay for services out of pocket.
