Donner Dewdney, MD
Dr. Dewdney graduated from the University of Ontario and completed his fellowship at the Menninger School for Psychiatry. Dr. Dewdney founded Child Psychiatry Associates P.C. in West Des Moines, IA and has served as an adjunct professor at Des Moines University and the University of Iowa. He has also served as Medical Director for UnityPoint Health - Iowa Lutheran Hospital's mental health units and Medical Director for the residential campus at Orchard Place, a psychiatric medical institute for children. Dr. Dewdney has published numerous articles and has received many awards for his life-long commitment of helping children, adolescents and adults living with mental illness.
Veronica Holloway, ARNP, PMHNP-BC
Veronica is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). She received her Master of Science in Nursing with specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from Allen College and has a Master of Science in Health and Social Psychology from the University of Oslo, Norway. She has spent the last 12 years working in various mental health settings including acute inpatient, outpatient clinics and as a research associate.
She provides treatment and care in behavioral medicine for adolescents, adults and families in medical clinics in Des Moines and Ames. Her experience in providing care entails treatment for ADD/ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress disorder and other behavioral illnesses. Veronica is a resident of Story County and is excited to expand her career to treat the people within her community.
Sajo Thomas, ARNP, PMHNP-BC
Sajo Thomas is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP). he received his Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing from the University of Southern Indiana. He has more than 10 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in various roles in an acute care hospital.
He specializes in providing patient-centered and evidence-based psychiatric care. He strives for continuous learning, updated with emerging research and practices and utilizing medication management services along with axillary services and resources to help patients enjoy life to the fullest and reduce mental health stigma. He provides services for various mental health disorders including Bipolar disorders, schizophrenia spectrum disorders, Depressive disorders, Anxiety disorders, trauma stressor-related disorders, ADD/ADHD treatment for ADD/ADHD, and other mental disorders for adults and families in Des Moines, IA.
