Meet the Team
"Obesity needs a long-term approach that combines diet, increased activity and lifestyle changes. Both overweight and obesity can increase the risk for serious complications including diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, gallstones, high cholesterol, gout and many types of cancer. Overweight or obesity occurs when, over time, the body takes in more calories than it burns. Another possible cause of obesity is a hormone imbalance."
"As an endocrinologist and a specialist in hormones and metabolism, we can assess the cause of your obesity and the possible complications. We also can direct how you should be treated and prescribe and monitor your medications. As a physician I strive to improve my patient' s quality of life and use the most current evidence to provide care. As a team, our goal is to help patients achieve their health goals by individualizing their treatment and integrating lifestyle, personal choices, medical conditions into their weight loss plan."
