Biography

Why did you pursue a career in physical therapy?
Throughout my childhood I was active in athletics and had a few injuries along the way. I knew at a young age I wanted to work with children in some way, and as I learned about the physical therapy profession in high school I had a strong desire to work with children with their physical impairments/limitations.

  • Working with children birth – five years old
  • Torticollis/plagiocephaly
  • Developmental delays/impaired coordination
  • Children with complex diagnosis
  • Impaired gait mechanics
  • Infants with lip and tongue ties/tethered oral tissues impacting feeding
  • Trunk mobility/asymmetry
  • Total Motion Release (TMR Tots) technique to aid in muscle symmetry for optimal functional movements
  • Elementary school/middle school age kids with concerns for gait mechanics, impaired coordination/strength, and post-operative procedures.
