About Nicole Batcheller, FNP-C

Biography

I am a family nurse practitioner who specializes in cardiology with a special interest in electrophysiology. My strongest attributes as a provider are accountability, patient advocacy, and productivity. I have more than 20 years of nursing experience delivering productive and compassionate patient care. I offer knowledge and understanding of the interconnected complexity of diseases and their underlying causes.

My goal is always to deliver strong communication and leadership skills with expertise in synchronizing resources with staff to achieve organizational goals and objectives. I provide optimal patient care by listening to patients and utilizing motivational interviewing techniques, striking a balance between partnering with nursing staff, nursing managers, and healthcare facility administrators.

I initially started in healthcare at age 16 as a certified nursing assistant, qualifying for a health internship program offered at my high school. I began my first work in nursing homes, delivering care to our elderly population. I built wonderful relationships and learned valuable life lessons. I completed my undergraduate nursing degree at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and finished my graduate degree at the University of Texas at Arlington.

I am a mother and a wife, roles I find deeply fulfilling. My husband and I lived in Texas for his profession but were able to move back to his home state of Iowa and hometown of Sioux City last year. We enjoy living near family and having our children develop meaningful relationships with their grandparents.

Outside of work, I enjoy various pursuits. I golf, bike, camp, and generally love being outside. The fall is by far my favorite season of the year. My husband and I are avid Iowa State fans and attend as many events as possible. We enjoy all sports, but as a Wisconsin native, I have a deep love for the Packers.
