As an interventional cardiologist, Mohammad Altujjar, MD, specializes in treating complex heart conditions using advanced, minimally invasive procedures. He is motivated by helping patients improve their heart health and achieve their lifestyle goals so they can live longer, more active lives.

Dr. Altujjar joined UnityPoint Health because of the team’s shared commitment to putting patients at the center of everything they do and providing compassionate heart care to the community. He treats every patient like a member of his own family and never recommends a treatment or procedure he would not confidently choose for a loved one.

In his free time, Dr. Altujjar enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, hiking and exploring nature. Sharing outdoor adventures and quality time with his family helps him stay grounded. He also enjoys reading and practices daily meditation to remain balanced and focused.
