About Lindsey R., MA, CCC-SLP
Biography
Professional Statement:
Lindsey is a pediatric speech-language pathologist with over a decade of experience supporting children in developing skills they need to thrive at home, in school, and throughout their communities. Since beginning her practice in 2013, she has been committed to providing evidence-based assessment and intervention grounded in compassion, collaboration, and tailored to each child’s unique strengths.
Lindsey values trauma-informed care and incorporates its principles into her clinical work. She recognizes that a child’s past experiences can influence how they communicate, learn, and engage during therapy. Lindsey prioritizes creating a safe, supportive environment where children feel understood, respected, and comfortable expressing themselves. She is attentive to emotional regulation, sensory needs, and individualized pacing, ensuring sessions are supportive rather than overwhelming. Her trauma-informed approach addresses treatment goals within a framework that honors the whole child—emotionally, socially, and developmentally.
With a strong passion for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and literacy development, Lindsey strives to make communication and language accessible and meaningful for all learners. She has completed extensive training in the Hanen Centre’s It Takes Two to Talk and More Than Words programs, enabling her to coach and empower families to support their child’s language growth within everyday routines. In addition, Lindsey has advanced training in Orton-Gillingham, allowing her to support reading and writing development for children and adolescents with dyslexia or literacy challenges.
Lindsey is dedicated to helping every child reach their potential and to equipping families and caregivers with the tools they need to foster lasting progress. Her holistic, family-centered approach promotes skills taught and practiced in therapy translate into meaningful gains in the child’s daily life.
