About Leah LaMasney, CAPSW
Biography
Addictions and Behavioral Health Therapist
I'm Leah, a Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker (CAPSW) with over five years of experience helping individuals navigate life's challenges, including trauma, mental health struggles, addiction, and various life stressors. I went to UW-Madison for my undergraduate degree, and I have a Master's degree in Social Work from Tulane University.
My therapeutic style draws on many different approaches including humanistic psychology, cognitive and dialectic behavior therapies, and internal family systems. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment grounded in respect, compassion, and authenticity, where you can show up exactly as you are and explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
I view therapy as a partnership where we work together to identify underlying patterns and limiting beliefs, develop strategies to address these patterns, and find ways to lean on your existing strengths to improve your well-being and create the life you desire.
In my free time I enjoy hiking, music, crossword puzzles, and cooking.
