Biography

Dr. Greg Hill is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with extensive experience successfully treating a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. Dr. Hill comes to Fort Dodge from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he developed a reputation for compassionate care and good outcomes. He has successfully returned high level athletes to competition, patients back to work and farmers back to the field.

Dr. Hill has treated Iowans for over 20 years and understands their concerns and needs. He enjoys educating his patients on their condition, treatment options and expected length of recovery. Dr. Hill’s experience with the latest advancements in treatments and surgical techniques allow patients in the Fort Dodge region to be confident that they are receiving the highest quality orthopedic care while staying close to home. Whether it is a sports injury, a rotator cuff tear, a knee ligament injury, or joint arthritis, Dr. Hill has a proven history of successful results.

Dr. Hill was raised in a small Iowa farm town and became an Eagle Scout. He played football and wrestled at Coe College until sidelined by an injury. Then he attended the University of Iowa for undergraduate and medical school. After his residency, Dr. Hill and his wife returned to Iowa to raise their family.

Dr. Hill is an avid outdoors adventurer. He has backpacked remotely around the world (southern Patagonia, Iceland Highlands, Swiss Alps, Alaska). He recently began mountaineering and ice climbing. He has summitted Mount Rainer as well as Yanapaccha (18,000 feet) in the Northern Andes of Peru.

Dr. Hill enjoys teaching youth, whether at a high school career day or while serving as a scouting venture crew first aid instructor. Most of all, he enjoys time with his wife and children; traveling with them and learning about many different places.
