Ghanshyam Shantha, M.D.

Ghanshyam Shantha, MD, is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist at UnityPoint Health – Fort Dodge. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart rhythm disorders, including atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia and stroke prevention. Dr. Shantha performs advanced procedures such as pacemaker and defibrillator implantation and ablations for complex arrhythmias.

With a deep commitment to patient-centered care, Dr. Shantha considers it a privilege to help people return to the lives they love with improved heart health and quality of life. He is known by his patients as a compassionate listener who takes time to understand their concerns and ensure they feel supported throughout their care.

Fluent in Tamil, Dr. Shantha enjoys connecting with patients from diverse backgrounds. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
