About Emily Robins, OTR/L, CLC
Biography
Professional Statement:
From an early age, I’ve been driven by the power of connection, and the difference compassionate care can make. Although I initially set out not to follow in my mom’s footsteps as a pediatric OT, I ultimately felt called to this profession. Occupational therapy is the perfect fusion of science and human interaction, which both inspires me and reinforces why I love this profession.
I’m motivated by complex cases and unique situations, and I enjoy the challenge of critical thinking, learning new approaches, and applying the latest research to provide excellent care. I have extensive experience and training in all areas of pediatric therapy and many specialized certifications related to treating autism, picky eating, sensory processing disorders, and physical disabilities. My areas of interest include infant feeding, video swallow studies, and supporting breastfeeding dyads. I also love creating innovative devices in our Generate MakerLab to develop novel solutions that meet patient needs.
As a Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) and Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) with specialized training for children with special needs, I bring a unique skill set to my practice. I find great joy in celebrating progress with patients and families and strive to blend clinical expertise with creativity and compassion.
