Professional Statement:
Cassandra provides a safe and comfortable environment for clients to be themselves and to speak about whatever is on their mind. Cassandra believes in recognizing emotions, thoughts, and behaviors and educates clients about how they are all related to one another. Cassandra also specializes in working with athletes who are experiencing performance anxiety or recovering from an injury to ensure that they have a positive return to athletic performance.
Why did you become a provider?
I became a mental health therapist because I understand the importance of mental health and how mental health plays a role in everyone's lives on a daily basis. I am passionate about helping those who may not know what to do next and to assist with providing guidance on positive things one can do to feel more positive.

Describe your average patient:
An average patient of mine would be seeking my services because of the safe environment I can provide for anyone who walks through my door. I am very client-centered and want to be able to provide services specific to the client in order to have a more positive point-of-view towards therapy.
What would your patients say about you?
I believe that patients like to come to me because of my positive attitude. I challenge patients to looks at the positives in all situations and to be themselves. I have a hard-working attitude towards my work and my patients and can show people the dedication I have towards the field of mental health.
What's the most important thing patients should know about you?
I have a primary focus on utilizing CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) in my sessions. It is also important that myself and the patient to work together as a team to have the most positive outcome with mental health therapy.
What do you like to do in your free time?
When I am not working with clients, I like to watch any kind of sports, especially football, and am a big Iowa Hawkeyes fan. My favorite hobbies include golfing, bowling, completing a variety of crafts, playing musical instruments, and spending time outdoors. I am very family-oriented and prefer to spend as much time with family as I can while I am not working.
