About Carsyn W., MA, CCC-SLP
Biography
Professional Statement:
I always knew I was meant to work in healthcare from a young age, but it wasn't until my family's lives were forever changed by the field of Speech-Language Pathology that I would decide to pursue a path where communication, connection, and compassion intersect. While my brother gained a voice through speech therapy, I discovered a calling to my future career.
As an outpatient speech-language pathologist, I primarily specialize in pediatric services to support patients across a wide range of needs. I have developed interests in apraxia, articulation, augmentative and alternative communication, early language development, and feeding/swallowing disorders.
I am committed to providing individualized and evidence-based therapy. I strive to meet each patient where they are at-remembering to celebrate progress, advocate for needs, and collaborate clearly with all care team members.
Why did you become a pediatric speech-language pathologist?
To improve the quality of life of others. I want to help others communicate and advocate for their wants and needs!
