Virtual Event

Preparing for Childbirth-Virtual (2 classes: 6/24 & 6/26/24)

Live Virtual Class

In Preparing for Childbirth – Virtual you will learn all about labor and birth. We will talk about contractions and other signs of labor, when to call your provider, and when to go to the hospital. We will also explain medications used for labor, cesarean birth, and other medical procedures. This class will also cover comfort and relaxation techniques, the role of your support person and decision-making for a confident birth.

An experienced childbirth educator will meet with you virtually for two class sessions. During class, you can talk to an expert who can answer your questions in real time.

Please choose either Preparing for Childbirth - Virtual or Mind, Birth & Baby: BIRTHING - Virtual. These classes cover similar content. If you would like more information about the difference between these two classes, please contact our office MSN_Familyhealth@unitypoint.org. Our Childbirth Specialist will answer your questions and help you determine which class will best suit your needs.

To add to your learning, you will receive an InJoy app card titled “Understanding Birth". The information found here is available to you for 18 months, but we highly recommend looking it over before class starts.

This class will meet on:

Monday, June 24 and Wednesday, June 26, 2024 - 6:00-8:00 p.m.
