Eyerly Ball Community Mental Health Services Awarded Federal Grant

Oct 26, 2022

UnityPoint Health – Eyerly Ball Community Mental Health Services has been awarded a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Improvement and Advancement Grant by the Center for Mental Health Services (CMHS), Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

As of September 30, 2022, the CCBHC grant will be awarding Eyerly Ball one million dollars each year through September 29, 2026. CCBHCs are designed to improve access to community-based mental health and substance use disorder treatment and support. CCBHCs focus on providing comprehensive, integrated, coordinated, and person-centered behavioral health care. Each CCBHC has the flexibility to implement programming based on the needs of their community, while reporting on standardized quality outcome measures.

The CCBHC Improvement and Advancement Grant is designed to fund the continued development and support of CCBHCs while states work on adopting this model.

We are honored to be receiving a CCBHC grant. We intend to use these funds to implement medication assisted treatment services onsite and to improve same day access processes, allowing any consumer to complete an intake and receive level-of-care indicated referrals and next steps on the same day they request services.
