Lab Services

UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's is committed to providing high quality service to our customers by ensuring accurate and timely results with professional and friendly service. We offer two locations for your convenience.

Sunnybrook Medical Plaza is located right off the bypass of Highway 20 and Highway 75, next to Target and Lowes in an easy to access part of Siouxland. The full-service laboratory offers outpatient testing and collection services. Hours of service are Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 4:30 pm.

 

Done in a Day Screenings

Lab screenings are available every day. No appointment necessary.

$90 package includes:

  • Carotid Ultrasound
  • Ankle Brachial Index (ABI)
  • Mini History and Risk Assessment
  • Blood Pressure Check
  • AAA Ultrasound

Additional add-on options:

  • CT Calcium Scoring: $50
  • Lipid Profile and Blood Sugar: $12  (12-hour fast required)
  • EKG: $40 

The results are mailed to you the same day and it is optional to have a copy sent to your physician. For more information, call our lab at (712) 279-4702.

Physician Orders
All tests, except lipid and cholesterol checks, require an order for the test from your doctor. Please bring copies of any written orders that your doctor may have given to you.
Your Results
All tests results are given to your doctor to share with you and help explain the results. Laboratory staff are not authorized to give test results directly to patients.
Lipid and Cholesterol Checks
A lipid panel and glucose testing can be performed at both locations, without a physician order. Payment is due at the time of the service and results will be sent directly to you. A 12 hour fast is recommended for the Lipid Panel. You do not need to fast for the cholesterol test.
Pre-Register
To save you time, an appointment can be scheduled by calling Central Scheduling at 712-279-7979. Pre-registration can be completed with Central Scheduling or online. Online pre-registration must be completed 48 business hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Then you can use the bright blue Self Check-In Kiosk at the lab when you arrive for a quick check in.
Weekend Glucose Tolerance Test
Weekend glucose tolerance testing is only available in the St. Luke's main lab at the hospital. Please call our Central Scheduling at 712-279-7979, Monday through Friday, to schedule the appointment.
