Bereavement Services

Although death is a part of life, you are never ready for the emotions that come after the loss of a loved one. The way we grieve is personal and individual to each one of us, but it is not something you should go through alone. Although there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there are healthier and more effective ways to cope than others. UnityPoint Hospice offers classes, counselors, and support groups through bereavement services to help you and your family deal with the pain of loss. Our bereavement program can support you with:

  • One-on-one grief counseling
  • Telephone calls and correspondence
  • Support groups
  • Memorial services
  • Community referrals
  • Grief resources
