St. Luke's Health Care Foundation (Cedar Rapids)

For more than a year, Officer Kyah has helped keep UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s safe. Trained in both de-escalation and drug detection, she has reduced the presence of narcotics on campus, helped prevent potentially violent situations and provided reassurance to patients, visitors and team members.

Now, St. Luke’s Health Care Foundation is raising funds to add a second K-9, handler and specialized security vehicle. Expanding the program will strengthen security during the hospital’s busiest hours and provide an added layer of protection for everyone who walks through our doors.

Gifts to the K-9 Security Program will enhance the safety of St. Luke’s patients, visitors, volunteers and caregivers throughout our hospital community.
