Heated Stone Therapy
Experience a luxurious and relaxing massage combined with deep heat therapy. This therapeutic massage is the ultimate in head-to-toe healing! After heating the stones in very warm water, our Licensed Massage Therapists use the stones to massage your body. This special technique creates many additional benefits to your massage. The deep penetrating heat creates quicker oxygenation to the muscles and a more rapid release of toxins. This process creates pain relief, deep relaxation, and long lasting results. You are sure to leave with a profound feeling of peace and well being.
This is a must-have for the mommy-to-be. Pregnancy places a strong demand on a woman's body and emotions. Nothing can cure these problems faster than a massage from one of our Licensed Massage Therapists. While positioned on a specially designed pregnancy massage table, our therapists will work on all of your aches and pains, as well as create an environment that is sure to sweep all your worries and daily stresses away. You will experience stress relief on weight-bearing joints, lessened sciatic pain, increased circulation, fewer leg cramps, relief of sinus congestion, decreased insomnia, and improved posture. A perfect way to treat you and your baby!
Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques (MAT)
From low-back and neck pain to stiff hips and headaches, a wide range of pain issues lead people to search for lasting relief. Pain is the body's call for attention, and MAT helps massage therapists listen before developing a treatment plan. MAT is a form of manual therapy that uses scientific evidence about the body and brain to inform the practitioner's approach to musculoskeletal problems. Generally speaking, it relies on strategic deep tissue and muscle activation techniques for posture correction and pain relief. These techniques may help clients:
- Relieve chronic pain contributing to weak posture
- Release trapped nerves from tight muscles, joints and ligaments
- Correct atrophy, weakness and muscle amnesia in head-forward postures
- Address breathing disorders caused by a drooping ribcage
- Lessen pain sensitivity through graded exposure assisted stretching techniques
- Eliminate protective muscle guarding due to joint fixations
- Improve sleep by lowering sympathetic nervous system tone
- Create dynamic, confident posture
- Correct sports-related tendon and joint injuries
- Enhance athletic performance through hands-on proprioceptive training
- Change the brain's mind about pain through targeted home exercise advice
This training system was created to correct the neurological dysfunctions and chronic pain issues that contribute to poor movement habits in people's everyday lives. Physiokinetic training enables everyone to have a plan, teaching you how to correct common compensatory strain patterns that keep people in pain and dysfunction daily. When this style of massage is combined with traditional massage, or with Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques, it gives new meaning to total body relaxation or total body reboot.
