Patient Experience Award to Grundy County Memorial Hospital
As a critical access hospital, Grundy County Memorial Hospital serves as the first line of emergency care for its nearby rural communities. For the eighth year in a row, the hospital has received national recognition for Patient Experience in the Emergency Department. The 2016 Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence ™ was awarded to GCMH at the Press Ganey national conference. The award means GCMH is among the top 5% of hospitals for Emergency Department Patient Experience among 1,800 hospitals nationwide.
“It is very rewarding to see our Associates’ efforts recognized on the national level. They demonstrate a commitment to excellence in how care is delivered each and every day, and I applaud their consistent dedication,” says Jennifer Havens, CEO. “We are appreciative of the support we receive from Allen Emergency services, and the role that Allen plays in achieving our vision of Best Outcome for Every Patient Every Time.”
With close to 4,400 patient visits in the past year, the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Emergency Department serves patients from more than fifteen communities in Grundy, Butler, Hardin, and Tama counties.
