UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Rehabilitation and Therapy Services help ensure that after a surgery, stroke or other life-changing event, you can get back to life as you know it, as fast as possible.
We offer the following services:
The Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Center focuses on intense recovery from a major injury, disorder or illness through therapeutic techniques to stabilize and strengthen a patient's central nervous system or musculoskeletal system. Within our rehabilitation unit, patients heal in large, private rooms with extra handles, chairs and other safety features to encourage mobility. Therapy services are provided in various exercise facilities, activity areas and apartment-style rooms. The unit is equipped with an apartment-style room including laundry and kitchen facilities to help patients relearn basic daily tasks during their hospital stay. When they are ready to return home, many patients are referred for follow-up care through UnityPoint Clinic Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Following an illness or surgery that has impacted the person's prior level of function and safety to return home, inpatient rehab offers a variety of activities to assist with a patient's recovery. These services are performed the patient's room, as well as in the rehab gym located on the hospital's third floor.
