Walmart and Sam's Club kick-off St. Luke's Children's Miracle Network fundraising campaign

Walmart and Sam’s Club kicked-off their annual fundraising campaign for UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Children’s Miracle Network on May 4, 2015. The six-week campaign will run through June 14, 2015. This year marks the 28th anniversary of the partnership between Walmart, Sam’s Club and Children’s Miracle Network.
To help further communicate the importance of Walmart and Sam’s Club’s contributions to Children’s Miracle Network, this year they will be starting a banner campaign. At the end of the year, stores will be receiving gold, silver or bronze award banner according to their fundraising threshold. The banners will be displayed within the stores for customers to see how impactful their Walmart or Sam’s Club was in 2015.
In 2014, nine Walmarts and one Sam’s Club in Siouxland raised over $72,000 for St. Luke’s Children’s Miracle Network. This total makes them St. Luke’s Children’s Miracle Network’s largest Corporate Partner in Siouxland.
Due to their contributions and dedication, Walmart and Sam’s Club were awarded with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ most prestigious award, the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital’s Founders Award. This award reflects the significant impact they have made on people’s lives.
Walmart and Sam's Club associates, customers and members have raised more than $750 million dollars since 1987.
Gifts to St. Luke’s Children’s Miracle Network are used to enhance children’s healthcare services at St. Luke’s through the purchase of new equipment and supplies and to fund special services and health education for children and families.
