The Sioux City Musketeers will hit the ice for
the tenth year for Pink in the Rink. This popular event raises funds to help
Siouxland men and women in the fight against breast cancer.
Sport
your pink and join us Saturday, October 21 at the Tyson Events Center. The puck
drops at 7pm.
Over the past nine years, thanks to the generous support of
our sponsors and the Siouxland community, we have raised over $450,000 benefiting breast cancer awareness and education efforts through the Susan G.
Komen Greater Iowa Siouxland office and UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s® Imaging
and Breast Screening Center. We are very
proud that our efforts have allowed the Siouxland Komen Affiliate provide
funding for free mammograms at various facilities throughout our community and
the Patient Navigator for breast cancer patients at the June E. Nylen Cancer
Center.
In 2016, our fundraising dollars also helped fund the
purchase of new equipment for our Imaging Center including new 3-D mammography
equipment and lateral arm equipment to provide improved access for stereotactic
biopsies. Our organizations are
dedicated to the unique health care needs of both men and women, especially the
importance of ensuring overall breast health.
In addition to attending
the game, you can support Pink in the Rink by purchasing event-specific short
sleeve t-shirts for only $15, long sleeve for $20 and youth shirts for $10. You
