Children's Miracle Network Radiothon raises money to help enhance health care for children
Siouxlanders will make miracles happen for local children during the Caring for Kids Radiothon. On October 15 and 16, listeners can pledge their support for UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s Children’s Miracle Network during the Radiothon, broadcast live on KG95, Z98 and KISS 107.1 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
During the 15th annual Radiothon event, St. Luke’s Children’s Miracle Network will be counting down to one million dollars. The Caring for Kids Radiothon has raised more than $936,000 over the past 14 years and roughly $64,000 will need to be raised this year to help reach this milestone.
Stories of Siouxland children and families who have been impacted by gifts to Children’s Miracle Network will be shared throughout the event. Radiothon pledges will be used to enhance children’s health care at St. Luke’s, helping to purchase equipment and supplies as well as to support family and community education programs.
In addition, the public is invited to the St. Luke’s Atrium, located at 2720 Stone Park Blvd. in Sioux City, to participate in a basket raffle and chair massages. St. Luke’s departments created 20 baskets that are available for raffle starting at $1 each. The drawing will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday and the winner does not need to be present to win. Absolute Massage & Bodywork will be giving chair massages on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for only $1 per minute, up to 20 minutes.
The Radiothon is supported by the following: Presenting Sponsor: Sioux City Ford Lincoln; Station Sponsors: C.W. Suter (KG95), Woodhouse Auto Family (Z98 and 107.1 KissFM); Phone Bank Sponsor: Siouxland Women’s Health Care; Power Hour Sponsors: Siouxland Obstetrics & Gynecology, Sioux City Professional Fire Fighters Local #7, Vonnahme Law and Dr. Adam Smith, plastic surgeon with Tri-State Specialists; Miracle Moment Sponsor: WA Klinger; Giggle Break Sponsors: Kalins Indoor Comfort and Jolly Time Popcorn; Meal Sponsors: Chick-fil-A, Chesterman Company and Casey’s.
