UnityPoint Health - St. Luke’s Foundation recently welcomed Ranee Ehrich as its new Director of Annual Giving. Ehrich joins a team focused on developing philanthropic support for the programs and services of UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s.

Prior to joining St. Luke’s, Ehrich served as the Director of Marketing & Development at Holy Spirit Retirement Home in Sioux City. In her three years in that position, Ehrich managed fundraising for special projects, annual giving campaigns, served as a member of the organization’s leadership team, facilitated the recruitment of board members for the Foundation, and oversaw all marketing activities for the organization. It was at Holy Spirit Retirement Home that she developed a passion for fundraising.

“My work at Holy Spirit Retirement Home helped me to gain an appreciation for the importance private donors play in providing excellent care in our community,” she says. “That experience made it clear that I wanted to work in healthcare and in a faith-based environment. It is rewarding to make a difference in people’s healthcare through philanthropy. It makes me feel good about coming to work every day.”

In her role, Ehrich is responsible for creating and executing fundraising strategies for the annual giving campaign of the St. Luke’s Foundation. This includes working with St. Luke’s loyal donors and new grateful patients. The annual giving campaign enables the development of new and expanded programs, facility enhancements and more.

In addition to her previous work experience at Holy Spirit Retirement Home, Ehrich has worked in a variety of sales and marketing positions since earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2005. She says she has an affinity for Siouxland.

“I have been fortunate that my professional roles have allowed me to be involved in the community, and Sioux City is a great community to support,” she says. “The area is large enough to obtain support for a wide variety of projects, but small enough that you can see the impact.”

Under the leadership of Susan Unger, President of St. Luke’s Foundation, Ehrich joins Anne Holmes, Director of St. Luke’s Children’s Miracle Network; Elizabeth Rossiter, Development Coordinator for St. Luke’s Children’s Miracle Network; Christy Stinger, Foundation Supervisor; and Monica Powers, Foundation Development Assistant. Their combined efforts will support the mission of UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s to improve the health of the people and the communities of Siouxland.
