Lindley Named IONL Outstanding Nurse Executive

Wendy Lindley, MSN, RN, NE-BC, Chief Nursing Executive at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s, has been named the 2020 Outstanding Nurse Executive by the Iowa Organization of Nurse Leaders (IONL).
The IONL award is intended to recognize an individual who demonstrates outstanding achievement in nursing leadership and holds the leadership position of Nurse Executive. IONL is an affiliate group of the Iowa Hospital Association.
Lindley was recognized as the Iowa Organization of Nurse Leaders 2020 Outstanding Nurse Executive at the Iowa Hospital Association’s Virtual Annual Meeting on October 7, 2020.
Lindley has been an employee of St. Luke’s for 8 years, beginning as the Director of the Emergency Department. Her experience also includes leading Care Coordination, the hospitalist program, the hospital’s Post-Acute Strategy, and most recently Chief Nursing Executive. Prior to her time at St. Luke’s, Lindley held several positions at Salem Hospital in Salem, Oregon including leadership of Care Management and a Surgical Telemetry Unit. She has also served our country in the U.S. Navy.
Lindley holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Science in Nursing and her Certification as a Board-Certified Nurse Executive.
