St. Luke's College and WITCC partner for advanced nursing programs
St. Luke’s College – UnityPoint Health and Western Iowa Tech Community College (WITCC) announce an articulation program to begin immediately.
WITCC students interested in transitioning to St. Luke’s College Registered Nurse (RN) and Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) programs will receive guidance on courses that are transferrable for the advanced degree. This agreement will allow graduates of WITCC’s Associate Degree Nursing program to transfer up to 73 credits of coursework to St. Luke’s College.
“With continued growth of our nursing program and growing demand for nurses, and nurses with the BSN credential, it is vital that we provide clear pathways for our nursing students to move toward their BSN,” said Darin Moeller, Executive Dean of Instruction at WITCC. “This partnership helps provide that pathway for those students who choose to start at WITCC and then complete their degree at St. Luke’s College without having to leave Sioux City.”
The agreement will provide clear course to course equivalencies between WITCC and St. Luke’s College.
“St. Luke’s College is proud to partner with WITCC to ensure that course credits transfer and meet curricular requirements with ease,” said Mike Stiles, Chancellor at St. Luke’s College. “The need for quality, highly educated nurses continues to grow. We are excited to help offer another solution for nurses to advance their degree without needing to leave the community.”
