by UnityPoint Health - Sioux City - November 7, 2016
Burgundy
Zellmer not only has a colorful name, she also has a bright smile and radiant attitude
to match. As a hostess for the UnityPoint Health - St. Luke’s Food and
Nutrition team, she spends her days delivering food to patients. However, she
isn’t just loved by patients; her fellow co-workers recently came together to
nominate her for St. Luke’s Employee of the Month for November.
Those
co-workers, along with other members of the St. Luke’s family, gathered to
recognize Zellmer in a surprise ceremony. Zellmer reacted in her signature
style – with an ear to ear smile.
“It’s hard
not to be happy when you get to work with such great people every day,” says
Zellmer.
Food and
Nutrition Manager, Christy Nikkel, says Zellmer truly is one-of-a- kind.
“She is loved
by all. She is someone of great integrity and is an absolute joy to work with,”
says Nikkel.
Other team
members describe Zellmer as helpful, respectful, sweet, caring, honest and
reliable.
As the St.
Luke’s Employee of the Month for November, Zellmer received a special watch
from Greenberg’s Jewelers, her own
premium parking space, gift cards to the St.
Luke’s Glass Apple Gift Shop, The Parkview Café and a gift certificate to
be used at an area restaurant. She will also have the chance to be voted as St.
Luke’s Employee of the Year for 2016. That comes with a paid vacation.
