Help Change Lives This Giving Tuesday
by UnityPoint Health - Sioux City - November 26, 2018
It's Giving Tuesday - an international day of charitable giving! This wonderful day of giving kicks off the holiday season every year encouraging others to put their money where their hearts are.
Please consider donating to UnityPoint Health - St. Luke's Foundation to help change lives in your community.
Together, we fund programs, education, technology, equipment and renovations to keep the people in our community healthy and show them how much they matter to this world.
Children’s Miracle Network opened another pediatric-themed room so kids feel more comfortable during their stay. Interactive games and family activities were added to the renovated pediatric playroom, and the exam room received state-of-the-art updates so kids get the best care.
Together, we supported the Pediatric Hospitalist Program, allowing kids to be treated closer to home, and a special program to provide stuffed animals and books to children visiting the Emergency Department,Surgery, Urgent Care, or the Pediatric Unit.
St. Luke’s College awarded 27 scholarships and purchased new equipment, ensuring that the next generation of health care providers are prepared to care for the people in our community.
A healing garden was created at Siouxland PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) so senior citizens participating in the program have a space for reflection and relaxation outdoors.
St. Luke’s purchased new ICU training models ensuring our health care providers know the best ways to care for you and your family.
A new portable ultrasound was purchased for UnityPoint at Home so our home health providers can assist more people in their homes, without a trip to the Hospital.
We provided warm, personalized blankets to patients and sofas in patient rooms so families could find some rest.
Please take this opportunity to invest in your local not-for-profit hospital this year! Donate Now.
