UnityPoint Health – St. Luke’s will host the 42nd Annual Perinatal Conference on Wednesday, May 11, from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm at St. Luke’s Institute for Health Education Auditorium at the hospital in Sioux City. The conference offers continuing education credit for physicians, mid-levels, nurses and other health care professionals from across the region who provide prenatal and perinatal care to mothers and newborns.
This year’s conference will highlight a number of important prenatal and perinatal topics including prenatal genetic counseling, genetic evaluation of newborns, drug addicted neonates, abnormal placentation, obesity in pregnancy, and information on the power of skin to skin after birth.

Continuing education credit will be awarded for nurses and CME and AAFP credit is approved for physicians and mid-level providers. The cost of the conference is $89 and $99 after May 4, 2016. The registration fee covers conference materials, recording of continuing education credit, luncheon, and refreshments.
