Trinity Weight Management Specialist
Finding the right place for surgery is a pretty important matter. That's why the smart choice is the Trinity Weight Management Specialists. Trinity has been providing surgical weight loss solutions for over three decades. Our board-certified surgeons offer minimally invasive and traditional surgical approaches to weight loss.
What can you expect?
The first step toward bariatric surgery is to attend one of our free seminars. If the patient meets the preliminary qualifications and is willing to proceed, an appointment is made to come into the center to begin the process. At this appointment, staff at Trinity Weight Management Specialists will go over with the patient their insurance requirements and the journey begins.
After all the steps have been completed and surgery has been approved, Trinity Weight Management Specialists will coordinate pre-surgical testing for the patient at one convenient time. Pre-surgical testing will include an upper GI, chest x-ray, EKG and lab work. The patient will also meet with the Bariatric RN and Bariatric Dietitian to complete pre-operative teaching and instruction.
Bariatric Surgery as an Established Option
Bariatric surgery was developed in the 1950's. Technology and surgical practice have both improved and expanded upon the original procedure. Today, we're able to choose from procedure options based on patient need. Selecting the right option depends on the patient's condition, dietary habits and willingness to alter eating behavior. This decision will be made together with the bariatric surgeon of your choice.
