Professional Statement:

As a pediatric practitioner, I am yet another member of the village it takes to guide our younger generations into the future. My knowledge and experience with children have led me to learn they are just smaller versions of us adults, and I use that in building interventions to teach the necessary skills to adapt to our environments. I enjoy working with toddlers through school-age on gaining independence with activities of daily living, developing adequate social skills and growing into our bodies that will allow for regulation and balance.

Why did you become an occupational therapy assistant?

I always knew I wanted to work with people especially with promoting health and well-being. Occupational therapy allows me to do just that while focusing on what is most important to the people I serve. I love hearing goals (big or small) that families have and being part of their team to work towards accomplishing that goal. Watching the success of others brings me the most joy.

What is the most important thing for patients to know about your practice?

I want others to know that I will always work as hard as I can to advocate for my clients and families. I will put in the work to get the answers and trial various interventions until we all feel that we have reached the highest level of success. Working in the field of occupational therapy allows for so many opportunities to expand my knowledge and it my privilege to share it with those around me.
