Stephanie is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a unique background that combines advanced clinical practice and cardiac rhythm management expertise. Her skills include comprehensive patient assessment, complex medical decision-making, procedural care and interdisciplinary collaboration. She is committed to delivering safe, high-quality care while fostering patient engagement, education and long-term wellness.

Why did you become a provider? I became a nurse practitioner to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients through compassionate, evidence-based care.

Why did you decide to join UnityPoint Health? I joined UnityPoint Health because I was drawn to the organization's culture and dedication to quality patient care.

Describe your typical patient: I see patients seeking care for heart rhythm disorders.

How would your patients describe you? I am a compassionate, empathetic and attentive provider who believes every patient deserves to feel heard and understood.

What is the most important thing patients should know about you? Patients can expect a provider who listens carefully, treats them with compassion and respect, and is committed to findings answers. I take pride in educating patients, addressing their concerns and partnering with them to develop individualized treatment plans to improve both their health and quality of life.

How would you describe the ideal patient-provider relationship? The ideal patient-provider relationship is one that is collaborative and specific to each patient. 

What do you like to in your free time? Outside of work, I value time with my family on our farm, where we raise and show cattle. I enjoy coaching my children's sports teams, hunting, fishing, maintaining an active lifestyle though fitness and participating in our church community.

Describe your family: I have been married to my husband for since 2014, and we have a daughter and son. My husband works full-time in Cedar Rapids, and we live on his Family's century farm where we raise cattle and grow corn and soybeans. Our family also includes our dog, Millie, who is a Borador.
