Professional Statement

After several years as a bedside nurse, I felt the calling to advance my career as a provider with particular interest in Emergency and Acute Care. I have always had a passion for helping vulnerable populations by working together on a highly collaborative team and triaging to ensure safe and quality patient centered care.

Why did you become a provider?

For the connections with patients and helping them heal on their journey.

Why did you decide to join UnityPoint Health?

For the opportunity to work with an incredible team in the Emergency Department.

What is your ideal provider/patient relationship?

One that based on mutual respect, collaborative with clear communication and expectations, while working towards on realistic goals.

What do you like to do in your free time?:

My husband and I spend most of our time in the outdoors living an active lifestyle. We have a bird dog we enjoy hunting with. Spending time with our family & friends.
