Biography

Why did you become a mental health service provider? I have always felt drawn to connecting with those I don’t know to hear about their lives, learn from their stories and assist them in solving problems.
What qualities best describe the care you provide to your patients? Inquisitive and nonjudgmental, empathetic and caring.
Being a mental healthcare provider, what drives/motivates you each day? I feel enriched with every clinical experience and motivated by the process of connecting with others to understand their needs, establish hope and create positive change together.
What is the most important message you would like to share with your patients? You are not alone and positive change can happen. I am ready to hear you and if you are ready to share, then we can make life work better for you.
What would you like your patients to know about you? I was born in Belgium, grew up in the City of Chicago and have had all sorts of experiences that contribute to my curiosity and sense of connection to people of all experiences.
Specialties: Providing therapy for adults and children with extensive practice in treating trauma, adoption and foster experience, grief and loss, anxiety, depression and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.
Clinical Interests: Providing therapy for adults and children with extensive practice in treating trauma, adoption and foster experience, grief and loss, anxiety, depression and attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder.  Interested in resiliency, self-esteem, and identity work. Also, helping survivors of sexual abuse and domestic violence.
