About Rosemary Russell, OTA/L
Biography
Professional Statement:
I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with over 25 years of experience helping people regain independence and improve their quality of life after neurological injuries and conditions. I currently work in an outpatient neuro setting, where I support individuals recovering from stroke (CVA), traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), and concussions. One of my key specialties is working with individuals diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. I’m certified in LSVT BIG, a proven therapy program that helps people with Parkinson’s improve their movement, balance, and confidence. I've spent the past 10 years dedicated to this population, and it’s truly a passion of mine to help people stay active and independent. In addition to physical rehabilitation, I also work with individuals experiencing cognitive impairments—such as memory loss, trouble focusing, or difficulty with planning and organization. Whether someone is recovering from a brain injury, concussion, or managing a long-term neurological condition, I help them build practical strategies to navigate daily life more safely and confidently.
