About Margot Duchowny, MSN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC
Biography
Margot Duchowny is a board-certified PMHNP, who was inspired to become a provider when she started working with people suffering from mental health illness and experiencing homelessness. Her experience includes working inpatient acute psychiatric crisis, consultation liaison, and outpatient psychiatric interventions. Her care philosophy and goal as a PMHNP is to focus on the biopsychosocial contributors of mental health conditions as it relates to each individual patient. She applies this philosophy to both inpatient and outpatient settings. Margot believes that it is important to understand the background history as well as current risk factors and stressors. Her work focuses on tailored interventions that address an individual’s unique profile. Her practice focuses on the assessment and treatment of patients experiencing acute and chronic psychiatric conditions, trauma, medical co-morbidities, health diversity issues, substance use, and addiction.
