To treat every patient as if they were a member of her family, putting their best health interests first, and to use the same dedication that she would use if she were treating those close to her. To treat the patient, not the symptom, because while their are standards and guidelines for medical conditions, other factors can come into play. Each patient has their own outside influences affecting their health and they deserve individualized attention. While guidelines are followed, it is important to know when to deviate, or when outside influences or coexisting conditions could be contributing to the main issue. To stay open minded, because she really enjoys the input that many healthcare professionals can have in improving the outcomes for patients. Working as a team for the best treatment strategy is something she enjoys learning from.
