Janet Laban, NP

Janet Laban, NP, sees patients for a variety of heart conditions including high blood pressure, coronary artery disease, preventative heart care and heart failure at UnityPoint Clinic Cardiology. 
From early in her career, Janet’s philosophy has been to move herself and others in an upward direction of health, mind, body and spirit. She applies this to cardiology by maintaining a focus on the importance of the mind, body and connection as a natural means to restore blood flow, improve circulation and heal.  She does medication management and works with colleagues on necessary diagnostic testing and interventions. 
Janet received her medical education from Clarke University and has spent her career working with patients in a variety of settings -- home, hospital and clinic. She has a solid background in cardiac and vascular medicine. She started her NP career with Finley’s Wendt Regional Cancer Center, transitioned to a rural Primary Care Practice and through what she believes to be a divine calling, returned to Finley to work at the Heart and Vascular Center.
